The security architecture in Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing module consists of the following elements:
Roles - Determine the duties that the user can perform and the parts of the user interface that the user can access. New Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing roles specific to dispensing processes have been created in D365:
Dispensing administrator
Dispensing manager
Dispensing clerk
Duties – Group of privileges required to execute parts of a business process and assigned to a role in D365.
Privileges – Define the level of access required to execute an action. The privileges defined in D365 mirror the user groups in the Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing Master.
Functions – Define the actions allowed within the Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing Client and Master. Functions are set up and assigned to one or multiple user groups in the Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing Master.
The mirroring between D365 privileges and Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing Master user groups is the key factor that provides the capability to manage Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing users as D365 users with Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing roles.
