In the United States, The Physician Payments Sunshine Act healthcare law requires manufacturers of drugs, medical devices, and biologicals participating in US federal healthcare programs to track and report all financial relationships with physicians and teaching hospitals to increase transparency and to uncover potential conflicts of interest.
To ensure these requirements are met, Life Sciences Supply Chain Management allows users to define an item as Sunshine Act reportable by enabling the Include in Sunshine Act report parameter in the Manage inventory FastTab of the Released product details form (Product information management > Products > Released products > Released product details).
For Sunshine Act reportable items, it is possible to generate a list of sales transactions for reporting purposes by opening the Sunshine Act report form (Sales and marketing > Inquiries and reports > Sunshine Act report > Sunshine Act report). Advanced search criteria allow users to filter the list of transactions by the following parameters to be able to easily retrieve specific information:
Date range, by selecting From date and/or To date.
Customer assigned to the sales order by selecting a Customer account.
Status of the sales order (for example, Open order, Delivered, Invoiced) by selecting a Status.
The country where the material has been shipped by selecting a Country/region.
