Test specifications like “Each result should be greater than or equal to the minimum value” require users to set up only one limit (in this example, the minimum).
Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance allows users to define only one limit (minimum or maximum) for a specific test. The setup consists of the following:
Setting the limit that is not used (for example, Min) to No limit.
Indicating the applicable range for the valid limit, for example, Less than or equal to.
the result range functionality is integrated with Microsoft’s Quick result entry form, allowing to display specifications and results in the new interface according to the defined decimal precision.
Example
The lab analyst is adding a test group line for a test with the following specification: “Results should be less than or equal to 15”.
The test group line should be set up as follows:
Result range:
Min: No limit
Max: <=
Test measurement value:
Standard: “12”
Min: disabled
Max: “15”
