Request for adjustment

Prev Next

After a dispensing operation closure, if the weighed quantity is more than the maximum available quantity for the batch/sub-batch (reserved quantity + on-hand available amount):

  • If the container is fully required only for the ongoing order, D365 automatically posts an adjustment journal for the additional weighed quantity. The adjustment journal is posted by the same user who executed the dispensing operation (that is, The Posted by field is populated with the User ID of the dispensing user that executed the dispensing operation).

  • If the container is partially required for the ongoing order and partially required for other orders, D365 returns a warning message to the user. It proposes an automatic adjustment of the additional weighed quantity.
    The user can:

    • Accept the automatic adjustment of the additional weighed quantity. In this case, the system automatically posts an adjustment journal, and the dispensing operation is successfully closed.  The adjustment journal is posted by the same user who executed the dispensing operation (that is, The Posted by field is populated with the User ID of the dispensing user that executed the dispensing operation).

    • Reject the automatic adjustment of the additional weighed quantity. Since there is no available quantity to be moved from the original sub-batch into the target sub-batch, the system returns an error.

      Note

The user can remove the reservation from the other orders and click Retry to close the weighing operation successfully.
