Optional tests

Prev Next

Upon creation of a test group, Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance allows users to mark a test as optional, for example, tests to be performed only if required by the final customer. Users can enable the Optional checkbox in the test group lines for the selected test (Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance > Setup > Quality control > Test groups).

Optional tests can be skipped. The user will not be required to enter test results, and the test will be automatically marked as passed without affecting the quality order validation. Optional tests will be automatically excluded from the Certificate of Analysis/Conformity.

When processing a quality order it is possible to edit the test lines. Specifically, users can modify an optional test to make it mandatory (that is, untick the Optional checkbox), but it is not possible to make a mandatory test optional.
