Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance allows users to set up different results evaluation methods by test.
Depending on the test group line setup, the system can verify the following:
The results quantity against the sample quantity.
The number of results (replications).
The Evaluation method for a test group line can be:
Weighted (quantity-related): the evaluation of the test is performed using the weighted average of the entered results and result quantities.
Unweighted (result-related): the test is evaluated according to the number of entered results and the corresponding values. When the selected method is Unweighted, the Number of results can be specified.
The evaluation method functionality is integrated with Microsoft’s Quick result entry form, allowing users to define the result quantity for Weighted results while skipping this information for Unweighted results.
Example
Test line setup:
Test A with Evaluation method = Weighted.
Test B with Evaluation method = Unweighted.
The quality order results entry:
The following results are entered for test A:
Result quantity
Test result
0.5
5
1
6
1.5
4
The following results are entered for test B:
Test result
5
6
4
Test average results:
Average result for test A is 4.83 (= ((0.5×5)+(1×6)+(1.5)x4)/3).
Average result for test B is five (= (5+6+4)/3).
