Lock/Unlock sub-batch fields

Prev Next

Sub-batch fields can be locked to prevent automatic updates from the parent batch by clicking the Lock fields button in the Functions tab of the Sub batches form (Inventory management > Inquiries and reports > Tracking dimensions > Sub batches). The Locked fields parameter is automatically enabled, and the following capabilities are affected:

  • The automatic copy of information from the parent batch is prevented whenever using the following copy from batch functions:

    • Copy from batch > Copy storage condition

    • Copy from batch > Copy restrictions

    • Copy from batch > Copy restriction types

    • Copy from batch > Copy use code

    • Copy from batch > Copy all

    • Sub batch dates > Copy dates from batch

    • For example, if the user selects multiple sub-batches, one of which has locked fields, and tries to copy their information from the parent batch, the locked sub-batch is not updated.

  • Whenever using the Reset shelf life dates option to manually update the sub-batch dates, the system does not prompt the user to recalculate any other date according to the manually updated one (for example, the Expiration date based on a new Manufacturing date).

Users can unlock fields for a specific sub-batch by clicking the Lock fields button and enabling the Unlock fields parameter in the displayed dialog. The Locked fields parameter is automatically disabled for the sub-batch, and all the disabled/modified capabilities are restored.

Note

It is possible to select multiple sub-batches and lock/unlock the corresponding fields simultaneously.
