Life Sciences Supply Chain Management provides the capability to lock fields for batches to prevent automatic updates from the parent item by clicking the Lock fields button in the Functions tab of the Batches form (Inventory management > Inquiries and reports > Tracking dimensions > Batches). The Locked fields parameter is automatically enabled, and the system does not prompt the user to recalculate any other date whenever using the Reset shelf life dates feature (for example, does not update the Expiration date based on a new Manufacturing date).
Users can unlock fields for a specific batch by clicking the Lock fields button and enabling the Unlock fields parameter. The Locked fields parameter is automatically disabled, and all the disabled/modified capabilities are restored.
It is possible to select multiple batches and lock/unlock the corresponding fields at the same time.
