D365 F&SCM prevents the modifications of batch properties (for example, dates) when there is an open quality order for the batch. This control is enforced only when the quality order Reference type is Inventory.
Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance introduces the Allow batch update with open quality order parameter (Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance > Setup > Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance parameters > Quality management tab). When this parameter is enabled, users are free to modify the batch master properties even when there is an open quality order for the selected batch.
