Scan or enter the location (Scan dest. loc field) to which you want to transfer the rental equipment. Make sure this location differs from the 'from' location.
To finish the transfer, click "F4:Ok".
As a result, the rental transfer journal is posted.
Notes
You can allow cross-company for a business object. When cross-company is allowed, the legal entity of the 'from' warehouse can differ from the legal entity of the 'to' warehouse. In this case, finishing a transfer updates the business object physical owner to the legal entity of the 'to' warehouse.
When the 'to' location is in another warehouse, the rental on-hand of the 'from' warehouse is validated. If the on-hand quantity is insufficient, the result depends on the Allow negative rental inventory setting on the rental posting policy:
No: The transfer is not posted, and an error is shown.
Yes: The transfer is posted.
No validation is done when the 'from' and 'to' locations are in the same warehouse.
