Scan the barcode of the desired item to pick it. 
 In D365 F&SCM, in the Anywhere app parameters, on the Rental tab, in the Picking section, you can set the Change serial number on picking parameter. If set to Yes, a warehouse worker can:
Assign a serial number to an object if it does not have a serial number.  
Change a serial number. If the item with the specified serial number cannot be picked, the warehouse worker can replace it with an item with a different serial number. 
Serialized items  
When you have scanned a serialized item, you can:  
Report if it is damaged.  
Add a description.  
Take a picture of the item.  
This creates a note for an item.
The picking quantity for serialized items is always ‘1’.   
Bulk items  
When you have scanned a bulk item, you can:  
Take a picture of the item.  
 Add a note.  
You must enter the number of items you want to pick from the available quantity.

As a user, you can work on several picking routes simultaneously.
