New or changed features in Release 10.0.47.28 (March 2026) – Data Entry Workflow.

1. Capability to Specify Target Company at Initialization Step

This release adds the ability to configure target company selection directly within workflow steps, including the initialization step. This gives users greater control and transparency over how records are distributed across companies during workflow execution.

• A new Master Data Management field group is available on data capture steps.

• The new Show Company Selection toggle controls whether the target company selection grid is visible to users in that step.

• The new Disable Company Selection toggle controls whether users can modify the target company list or only review it.

• The same configuration also applies at the approval step, allowing the approver to either review or update the selected target companies before distribution.

2. Multiline Support for Text Fields

This release introduces a new Multiline option for text fields in Workflow Document configuration, improving how long text values are displayed and entered in the application.

• A new Multiline checkbox is available for text fields in the workflow document setup.

• When enabled, the field is displayed as a larger multi-line text box with increased height.

• A scrollbar is included so users can read and enter text that exceeds the visible area.

• When disabled, the field continues to behave as a standard single-line text field.

3. Email Notifications for Data Entry Workflow Initiated from Master Data Management (MDM)

This release enables email notifications for the initial step of a Data Entry Workflow when the workflow instance is initiated from Master Data Management (MDM) Studio.

• The system evaluates the step-level notification setup when a workflow is started from MDM.

• If email notifications are enabled and a valid email template is configured, the assignees of the first step will receive an email notification.

• This ensures that users are informed about newly created workflow instances initiated from MDM, while preserving the existing behavior for user-initiated workflows.

Compatibility

Built for D365 F&SCM 10.0.47 and compatible with 10.0.44+. Workflow execution, notification behavior, and distribution controls align with the core platform and related STAEDEAN solutions.
