As a test manager, use test runs to define and manage the actual tests to be done. You generate a test run based on a test.

For each test run, you can:

  • Review and change the test run settings like, the test date, priority, and configuration.
  • Assign it to a tester.
  • Make it available to be done.

If the test runs are created, you can review and change the test run settings. Procedure 1. Click Business process testing. 2. Click Design. 3. Click the Tests tab. 4. In the tree, select 'a node'. 5. Click the Test runs tab. 6. Click New to open the drop dialog. 7. In the list, find and select the desired record. 8. Click OK. Review test cases for test run Review test cases for test run Before the test run is done, it can be required to review the related test cases. Procedure 1. Click Business process testing. 2. Click the Test runs tab. 3. In the list, find and select the desired record. 4. Click Edit. 5. Click the Procedure tab to review the listed test cases. 6. Click to follow the link in the Test case field to review a test case in more detail. 7. Click the Procedure tab to review the test case steps. 8. Close the page. 9. Close the page. Assign test run to tester Assign test run to tester If a test run is ready to be done, assign it to the responsible tester. Procedure 1. Click Business process testing. 2. Click the Test runs tab. 3. In the list, mark the selected row. 4. Click Owner to open the drop dialog. 5. In the list, mark the selected row. 6. Click OK. 7. Close the page. Set test run status to Scheduled Set test run status to Scheduled If you finished the setup of a test run, and the test must be done, change the test run status to Scheduled. As a result, the test run can be started by the tester. Procedure 1. Click Business process testing. 2. Click the Test runs tab. 3. In the list, mark the selected row. 4. Click Status. 5. Click Scheduled. 6. Close the page. Set test run status to Skipped Set test run status to Skipped If you decide that a test run is not required, you can change the test run status to Skipped. As a result, the test run is not shown on the My test runs page. Procedure 1. Click Business process testing. 2. Click the Test runs tab. 3. In the list, find and select the desired record. 4. Click Status. 5. Click Skipped. Start Start Publish test specification Publish test specification For each test, you can publish a document with detailed information of the related test suite and its test cases. You can configure the level of detail of the information that is added to the document. You can find and download the published document on the Business process file share workspace, on the Documents tab. Procedure 1. Click Business process testing. 2. Click the Tests tab. 3. In the list, find and select the desired record. 4. Click Publish. 5. Click Test specification. 6. On the Publish Test specification document dialog, define the required settings and click OK. Notes On the Publish test specification document dialog, you can define these settings:Language - If you have defined translations for the solution, select the language in which you want to publish the solution. The elements in your solution that are not translated into this language are published in the original language. You can only publish in another language if this language is defined for the solution itself. So, for example, all content of the solution is translated to a specific language. However, no translation for this language is defined for the solution itself. In this case, you cannot publish in this language.Include version number - If this check box is selected, the version number of each element is added to the document.Include change history - If this check box is selected, the change history of each element is added to the document.Number of change history records - You can define the maximum number of change history records that is published for each element. For example, if you enter 3, only the latest three changes to the element are published. Publish test plan Publish test plan You can publish a document with the test plan for a solution. To each business process with tests defined, a table is added with the tests. For each test, this information is shown: Test, Type, Milestone, and Status. Notes On the Publish test plan document dialog, you can define these settings: Language - If you have defined translations for the solution, select the language in which you want to publish the solution. In this section, the test description is added and a table with the relevant test cases. For each test case, this information is shown: Test case, Priority, Status, and Owner.Scope and gap summary - If this check box is selected, for each business process that is added to the document, information is given on its scope and gap categorization. For example: This process is out of scope, categorized as fit.Include version number - If this check box is selected, the version number of each element is added to the document.Include change history - If this check box is selected, the change history of each element is added to the document.Number of change history records - You can define the maximum number of change history records that is published for each element. For each test, you can publish a document with detailed information of the related test suite and its test cases. You can configure the level of detail of the information that is added to the document.

You can find and download the published document on the Business process file share workspace, on the Documents tab.

You can publish a document with the test plan for a solution.

To each business process with tests defined, a table is added with the tests. For each test, this information is shown: Test, Type, Milestone, and Status.

You can configure the level of detail of the information that is added to the document.

You can find and download the published document on the Business process file share workspace, on the Documents tab.
