With the Item and Item category templates you set which items are inspected with which measurement template. This applies to inbound shipments (from vendors) as well as outbound shipments (to customers). Several alternatives make the setup easier at the item level:
Templates per item category and product groups: apply the same measurement template to an entire category or group of items.
Target values: set a basic template for an item or a group of items and vary the details (answers) in target values.
The Item category template sets the links between item categories and/or product groups, vendors, customers, and measurement templates.

Measurement Template | Select a measurement template. When an incident of type Material is created, the system searches for a measurement template in this sequence:
