Between the moment of registering a time sheet line and actually posting it, quite some time may pass. The Resource Task Assignment tracks progress throughout that period.
The assignment shows the number of hours assigned to a specific task as well as the hours in the registration, approval, and posting process. Assignments are created as follows:
Projects: assigned quantity is as per the resource planning line.
Assembly: when the resource task created from the assembly order is started, an assignment is created from the resource allocations list.
Service: the assigned quantity is the allocated hours from the resource allocations list.
Production: when a resource is assigned to a production operation, the calculated Production Order Need is used.
The Resource Task Assignment shows quantities in the following fields:
Time Input Line qty.: hours entered through the Start/Stop function, the Time Registration App, or imported from an external time capture system. Time input line hours have the following states:
Open: the time input line has only a starting time and is waiting to be completed with an ending time.
Complete: the time input line has been completed with an ending time and is waiting to be registered in a time sheet.
Registered: the time input line has been registered in a time sheet. This line is not included in the Time Input Line qty. on the assignment.
TS Open or Submitted: time sheet line quantities entered manually or created from the time input line, not approved yet.
TS Rejected or Approved: time sheet line quantities entered manually or created from the time input line, approved or rejected. Rejected lines must be re-submitted.
TS Posted: time sheet line quantities marked as posted.
Remaining Hours is calculated as: Assigned Quantity − (Time Input Line + TS Open or Submitted + TS Rejected or Approved + TS Posted).
Note
When using the Start/Stop function on the Resource Task List and there are several assignment lines, the resource must select the correct assignment.
A resource can mark a task Completed in the time sheet to indicate that Anywhere Mobility Solutions remaining hours will not be used because the work is complete. The completed resource task can report the task source as completed. An expression on the project task lifecycle can check if all tasks have been completed.
