Once approved, send the ECR to engineering. The simple way is to print the ECR and deliver it manually to the engineering department. The lifecycle also provides a trigger that a connection can pick up to make an electronic delivery.
Steps
To maintain the connection:
Type Engineering Change Management Connections in the search box.
Select the Engineering Change Management-ECR connection and open it or select Edit from the ribbon.
The connection has three elements:
The WORKFLOWEVENT selects the workflow and workflow state that triggers the connection. In this example, 40-PROCESS is selected.
The XMLGENERATOR creates an XML file from the current record of the ECR table. The fields in the file are specified in the Engineering Change Management-ECR Document.
The FILEWRITER writes the generated file to a specified location on the network. The file name is generated and you can configure it.
