Set up transport order cost component templates

The Transport Cost Component Template defines which components are part of a calculation and the percentage to use. Add component templates to transport order costs as individual costs. Use cost component templates when an additional charge based on a cost component amount must be calculated as a percentage of that charge, for example, a fuel charge of x%.

Steps

1. Choose the   icon (Alt+Q), enter Transport Cost Component Templates, and click the relevant link.

2. Click New to create a new template or Edit to update an existing one.

3. Enter the values for the Code and Description fields and complete the following fields:

   Field	Description
   G/L Account	Specify the G/L account used when creating a purchase invoice line.
   Percentage	Enter the percentage to calculate the transport order cost line amount.
   Status	Specify the status of the template. Only Certified component templates can be used.

4. On the Lines tab, complete the following fields:

   Field	Description
   Transport Cost Component	Select the transport cost component from the drop-down list that is part of the current template. Additional charges using this template are calculated based on the amount of the transport cost component entered when entering cost components.
   Description	Copied from the transport cost component description.
