Define lot number segment values for each location, piece of equipment, or work shift code included in a lot number generated according to a custom format. When one of these records is included as part of a custom lot number, the defined lot number segment value is used.
Steps
In the search box, enter Lot No. Segment Values, and then choose the related link.
On the Home tab, in the New group, choose New.
In the Type field, select the type of record that will have a lot number segment value.
Fill in the Code/No. field with the record that will have a lot number segment value.
In the Segment Value field, enter a segment value for the record.
