A custom lot number format consists of segments. When a lot number is generated from a custom format, its values and appearance are determined from the format's assigned segments.
Steps
In the search box, enter Lot No. Custom Formats, and then choose the related link.
On the Home tab, in the New group, choose New. The Lot No. Custom Format page appears.
On the General FastTab, enter a code and description.
On the Segments FastTab, enter the segments you want to include in the custom lot number format.
