Set a lot picking method

For some items, set a lot picking method on the item tracking code. The program uses the designated method when suggesting the item lots to pick on a warehouse pick document. The warehouse zone and bin in which the suggested lot is stored is also copied to the warehouse pick.

Note

Lot warehouse tracking must be enabled for an item tracking code before a lot picking method can be selected.

Steps

  1. In the search box, enter Item Tracking Codes, and then choose the related link.

  2. Create a new item tracking code or select an existing one, then on the Home tab, in the Manage group, choose Edit.

  3. On the Misc. FastTab, fill in the Lot Warehouse Picking Method field with the lot picking method the system should use when suggesting picks for items with the assigned item tracking code.
