A delivery trip pick follows the same functional rules as a regular warehouse pick. However, it includes added functionality to create several picks from one warehouse shipment document.
You can create several warehouse shipment documents for a delivery trip, or just one. If you use just one shipment document, set the Auto Create Del. Trip Shipment field on the Transport Management Setup page to Yes. This setting automatically creates a warehouse shipment document linked to the delivery trip. You can then manually add the source documents listed on the delivery trip to the shipment document by selecting Add to Shipment.
When a pick is created from a warehouse shipment, the system looks for the Whse. Pick Using Pick Class setting on the Warehouse Setup page. If this value is set to Yes, the system generates a pick document per pick class value found for the items in the delivery trip. See Set up pick classes.
