Transport orders combine one or more containers into a transport. Create transport orders using the following methods:
Manually from the Container Worksheet.
Manually using the Link Container function from a transport order.
Steps - Create transport order manually from the Container Worksheet
The following steps are based on an inventory pick, but the process applies to all put-away and pick documents.
Choose the
icon (Alt+Q), enter Inventory Pick, and click the relevant link.Select an inventory pick and click Edit to modify it.
Click Container Worksheet to open the Container Worksheet page.
Select an existing container line and click Create Transport Order to create a transport order, or click Link Existing Transport Order to link an existing one.
Note
The Link Existing Transport Order action still creates a new transport order when the address on the container does not match the address on the existing transport order.
Steps - Create transport order manually using the Link Container function
The following steps are based on outbound containers, but the process also applies to inbound containers.
Choose the
icon (Alt+Q), enter Transport Order, and click the relevant link.Click New to create a transport order.
Specify the Document Type as Outbound and specify the Location Code and Customer No. as required. Complete the remaining fields.
Click Link Container on the Home tab to open the Container page. This page shows all available containers assigned to the related customer. Most fields on the transport order header serve as filters to show the correct containers.
Select one or more lines and click OK to add the containers to the transport order.
