Create containers from a Container Worksheet, which you can open from the search box, an inventory or warehouse pick, or a warehouse receipt.
Steps - Create container manually from the inventory or warehouse pick
The following steps are based on an inventory pick.
Choose the
icon (Alt+Q), enter Inventory Pick, and click the relevant link.Select an inventory pick from the list and click Edit to modify it.
Click Container Worksheet to open the Container Worksheet page.
Click Create Container to create a new container record.
Steps - Create container from a warehouse receipt
A Create Container wizard is available from the warehouse receipt line to support cross-docking. See also: Cross-dock containers.
Select the lines to include in the container.
From the Line menu, click the Create Container action.
Select the container type and optionally enter a License Plate No.
Close the container. You can also close it afterwards from the Container Worksheet.
The container is created and the selected receiving lines are added as container details. When done, open the Container Worksheet from the warehouse receipt process menu to review and close the containers. From the Container Worksheet, drill down to the Container card and print a container label.
Note
Containers on the receiving side can only be used for cross-docking. When no cross-dock opportunities are found for the receipt line, an error appears.
