Genesis R&D provides several predefined units of measure in which you can define ingredient quantities. Assign these predefined units to the units of measure in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. When a production BOM's components are exported to Genesis, their BOM quantities are converted from the Dynamics unit to the assigned Genesis measure.
Note
Regardless of an item's base unit of measure in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, all Genesis ingredients are assigned a base measure of grams. You cannot export an item from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central into Genesis if it has not been assigned at least one weight unit on the Item Units of Measure page.
Steps
In the search box, enter Units of Measure, and then choose the related link.
On the Units of Measure page, select the unit of measure to which you want to assign a Genesis measure.
In the Genesis Measure field, select the Genesis measure you want to assign.
Enter a conversion between the unit of measure and the Genesis measure in the Genesis Qty. per UOM field if necessary.
