You can add a production planning event to a combination of equipment and production date on the Production Sequence page. This provides a more accurate view of equipment availability, as the duration of an assigned production planning event represents a period of time during which the equipment is unavailable for production. Set up the relevant production planning events before performing this activity.
Steps
In the search box, enter Production Sequence, and then choose the related link.
Enter values in the Location and Date fields.
The lines on the Production Sequence page display equipment records based on the values specified in these fields.
Select the equipment record to which you want to add a production planning event.
On the Actions tab, in the Non-production Events group, choose New.
On the Non-production Event page, fill in the fields.
Choose OK.
The production planning event is assigned to the selected piece of equipment. If the new event conflicts with other scheduled activities, you can resequence the order in which they are assigned.
