On a work order task, use the time recording buttons to record the:

  • Work time
  • Travel time
  • Break time
  • Overtime

You can also register spent time manually.

When you start recording the travel time, and the work order task status is 'Created', the status is set to 'In progress'. The created time registration shows the recorded travel time. In D365 F&SCM, in the Work order line transactions, a transaction of registration type 'Hour' is created. Note: If you are working offline, the transaction is not created until you are back online. Procedure 1. When you start traveling for a work order task, on the Booking page, tap the floating action button > Start Travel. Note: On a Windows device or browser, on the taskbar, click Start Travel. 2. When you are finished traveling for the work order task, on the Booking page, tap the floating action button > End Travel. Note: On a Windows device or browser, on the task bar, click End Travel. Notes If no traveling is required, tap Start Work to start a work order task. You can also start a work order task by manually changing its status to 'In progress'. You can get directions using the Google Maps integration on the General tab. If you use the travel time to start a work order task, make sure to end it when you arrive at the work order task location. You cannot start work on a work order task before you end the travel time. In the Time Registrations section, tap New time Registration. 3. Fill in the fields as desired. 4. Save the manually created time registration. Tap Save an tap Go Back [<]. Note: On a Windows device or browser, tap Save & Close. 5. Post the manually created time registration. On the Journals tab, in the Time Registrations section, select the manually created time registration. Note: The Time Registrations section shows up to four time registrations. If there are more, tap See more to see all time registrations. 6. Usually, manually time registrations are posted automatically when you complete a work order task. If desired, you can post the manually entered time registration intermediately. On the Time Registrations section header, tap Post Journal. Note: On a mobile phone, tap the overflow menu [...] button of the time registration, and tap Post Journal.You can post several selected time registrations at once. Select the desired time registrations and, on the Time Registrations section header, tap Post Journal.
