Manage business object availability

You can manage the availability of business objects in Rental Management based on business needs.

To check which business object and serial number is available for assignment to a rental order, open the Business object availability page.

To filter by rental quantities, types, and locations within a specific date range, use the On-hand rental inventory page.

To view rental statuses by object number, open the Asset availability transactions page.

Rental on-hand quantity and location Rental on-hand quantity and location You can view real-time rental inventory levels using the On-hand Rental Inventory report in the Business objects module. The report includes warehouse locations such as the customer’s buffer, VANs, and depots. For each rental type, the on-hand grid shows: Rental quantity Not yet delivered Not yet returned You can run the report for a specific rental or transfer order. Procedure 1. Go to Business objects > Enquiries > On-hand rental inventory. 2. In the Rental type field, enter or select a value. 3. In the From date field, enter a date. 4. In the To date field, enter a date. 5. In the Warehouse field, enter or select a value. 6. Click Refresh data. 7. Close the page. Check asset availability transactions Check asset availability transactions You can view all asset availability transactions. You can also use a separate feature to view all transactions for all rental items. This works like the Asset availability page but without filters. Procedure 1. Go to Business objects > Inquiries > Asset availability transactions. 2. In the list, find and select the desired record. 3. Click Rental transactions. 4. Close the page. 5. Click Transaction origin. 6. Close the page. Business object availability

Business object availability

Use the Business object availability page in Rental Management to check which business objects are available for assignment. The page shows each object with its serial number and rental type.

To add or remove filters, you can:

  • Adjust the Business object parameters.
  • Use the Settings option in the fasttab to select the checkboxes for the Assign business object filter.

Status icons in the grid view show the availability of the filtered business objects. From this page, you can also create rental orders, rental quotations, or work orders for assignable business objects.

You can go to related pages. For example, you can view maintenance plans and history, planned resources, or rental transactions for the selected business object.
