For each physical object that can be rented or serviced, a business object is required. You link a business object to a product. Depending on the business needs, you can also link a business object to a fixed asset.

A business object can be:

  • Serialized: Create a unique business object for each piece of equipment with a serial number attached to it. For example: a photocopier machine or an aerial working platform.
  • Bulk:  Create a bulk business object for non-serialized assets. These assets are usually purchased in bulk quantities and stored in your inventory and on fixed asset level. For example: scaffolding pipes or computer cables.
