When you qualify a lead in Rental Management for D365 Sales:
- A contact is created in Rental Management for D365 Sales.
In Rental Management for D365 Sales, a contact is a person related to an account with whom you communicate. An account can have several contacts.
- A contact is created in D365 FO.
In D365 FO, a contact is a person related to a prospect or customer with whom you communicate. A prospect or customer can have several contacts.
The contact in Rental Management for D365 Sales and the contact in D365 FO are linked.
Note:
- If, for the lead, you have entered an contact name that already exists as a contact, a dialog is shown where you can indicate what to do with the duplicate contact.
- If, on the Qualify dialog, you have selected an existing contact, no contact is created.
- If you have selected an existing contact, usually, already a related contact exists in D365 FO. In this case, no contact is created in D365 FO.
