In Rental Logistics Scanning, you can use Rental counting to do item counting for rental items. In Rental Logistics Scanning, you can only count items for already created counting journals.

Select the desired counting journal to start rental item counting. In the rental item counting process, whether on-hand inventory is shown, depends on these Anywhere app parameters for Rental:

Scan serialized and bulk items to count their quantity in the warehouse. The list shows the total on-hand quantity of each item which is available according to D365 FO. After you scan an item, it is shown as the "Last counted item". How to enter the counting results depends on the item type:
If you cannot scan a bulk item, you can manually enter the counted quantity. To do so:
Scanned item does not exist in the counting journal: If you scan an item that does not exist in the current counting journal, the item is added to the counting journal. This is only possible if the item matches the applied filters on the counting journal in D365 FO. |

As you scan, the "Counted" field of the selected counting journal is updated in D365 FO. To finish the current counting journal, on the Rental counting main page, click "F1:Back". As a result, the warehouse and counting journal selection page is shown. When you finish a counting journal in Rental Logistics Scanning, the counting journal is updated in D365 FO. You can start item counting for another counting journal. |
