You can create general tasks that are not related to any specific record. You can only monitor and edit these general tasks from the Tasks and My tasks pages on these workspaces:

Business process modeling
Business process implementation
Business process testing
Business process translation

You can create a general task in several places. As an example, in this task guide, you create a general task on business process implementation. To do so, click Business process implementation.
Click the My tasks tab.
Click New.
In the Subject field, type a value.
Close the page.
