# Manage production order - Impact workspace

The **Production orders** section displays production orders affected by the selected ECO line.

A production order might continue to use the previous BOM or route after an engineering change. Use the available actions to:

- [Update the production BOM](/manufacturing/docs/update-the-production-bom-eco-impact-workspace)
- [Update the production route](/manufacturing/docs/update-the-production-route-eco-impact-workspace)
- [Place the production order on hold](/manufacturing/docs/place-a-production-order-on-hold-eco-impact-workspace)
- [Release a production order from hold](/manufacturing/docs/release-production-order-from-hold-eco-impact-workspace)
- [Reset the production order to an earlier status](/manufacturing/docs/reset-a-production-order-status-eco-impact-workspace)

The actions available for an order depend on its production status.

## **Prerequisites**

Before you begin, make sure that:

- The impact calculation is complete.
- The affected order appears in the **Production orders** section.
- You have permission to manage production orders.
- The production order has a status supported by the selected action.
- The new BOM or route version is active, where applicable

## Action availability

The actions available in the **Production orders** section depend on the current production order status. The following table shows when each corrective action is available.

> 
> - When a production order is on hold, all other corrective actions are unavailable. Select Unhold before performing another action.
> - Update BOM is unavailable if the ECO line doesn’t contain a BOM change. Update route is unavailable if the ECO line doesn’t contain a route change.
