Deleting the planned order doesn't remove its underlying demand. A later planning run might create new planned supply if demand and coverage settings still require it.
Steps
Go to Product information management > Engineering change management > Engineering change orders.
Open a released ECO you want to review.
On the Action Pane, in the Business impact group, select Open impact workspace.
The workspace opens for the selected ECO.
Note
If the ECO has no lines yet, the button is unavailable. Add at least one affected product first.
In the Planned orders section, locate the affected planned order.
Select Delete.
The Delete pane opens on the right.
Review the planned order number, order type, item number, quantity, and requirement date.
Review the affected demand, such as a sales order or safety-stock requirement.
Select Confirm to delete the planned order.
To close the pane without deleting the order, select Cancel.
After deletion:
The planned order is removed from the current plan.
The record is removed from the Planned orders list in the impact workspace.
Run master planning again if you want the system to reassess the demand. Master planning creates replacement supply only when the demand, coverage settings, and planning parameters require it.
Example
Planned order 00053 for item SIMPLEA1 supplies sales order 000563 and a safety-stock requirement.
When you select Delete, the planned order is removed from the current plan. During the next planning run, the system reassesses the demand. If supply is still required, it creates a new planned order by using the applicable product, BOM, route, and planning setup.
