Assign project inventory number to project

If you want to track project inventory for a project, you must assign a project inventory number to the project.

As a result, you can track project inventory for the products with a tracking dimension group for which the Project dimension is active.

Steps

1. Go to Project management and accounting > Projects > All projects.

2. In the list, find and select the desired record.

3. In the list, click the link in the selected row.

4. Click Edit.

5. Expand the Project Inventory section.

6. Click Assign.

   Note

   By default, the first ten characters of the number of the selected project are proposed.

   You can change the default number, or you can manually select an existing project inventory number.

7. Click OK.

8. Close the page.

9. Close the page.
