You can set up product readiness control checks for engineering product types. These checks are used to control if released products, versions, or variants are ready for use in transactions. This topic explains how to assign a predefined system check to an engineering product type.
Steps
Go to Product engineering > Setup > Engineering product type.
In the left pane, find and select the desired engineering product type.
In the Readiness control section, click Add system checks.
Choose which system check you want to add to the engineering product type.
In the list, find and select the desired record.
Click OK.
In the top left of the screen, click Edit.
Choose whether you want this readiness check to apply on a released product, released variant or engineering version.
In the Apply check on field, select an option.
Choose whether the readiness check should be executed in a single company or all companies.
In the Execute in field, select an option.
In the Company accounts ID field, select which company this readiness check should be executed in.
Note
This field can only be filled in if "Single company" was chosen in the previous step.
Choose the whether the owner of the readiness check is a person or a team.
In the Owner type field, select an option.
Note
If a different person or team tries to execute the readiness check, a warning will pop up that says they are not the owner. However, this does not block them. The readiness check can still be executed.
Choose the person or team that owns this readiness check.
In the Name field, enter or select a value.
Decide whether automatic approval should be done.
If this check box is:Selected: The readiness check is automatically approved upon completion.
Cleared: The readiness check must be (separately) approved after completion.
Decide whether the readiness check is mandatory or not.
If the check box is:Selected: The readiness check cannot be skipped.
Cleared: The readiness check can be skipped.
Close the page.
