# Works due date editability

Pharmaceutical companies require a precise organization of the warehouse processes and movements. To support warehouse operations planning, Life Sciences Supply Chain Management allows users to trace the **Due date** for each type of work.

The **Due date** field in the **Work** form (**Warehouse management > Works > All works**) is editable, and no validations are applied to the inserted date.

For certain types of works, the **Due date** field is automatically populated by the system, and it can be manually edited. In particular:

- If a picking work is generated from a **Sales order**, its **Due date** is automatically set to the earliest **Requested ship date** in the sales order lines.
- If a picking work is generated from a **Transfer order**, its **Due date** is automatically set to the earliest **Ship date** in the transfer order lines.
