The integration between the Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing module and the Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing application allows for managing the Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing process through the integrated ERP solution. The integration between the Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing™ module and the Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing client is ensured by a web service interface (SOAP web service), allowing data exchange between the systems.
The web service is provided by the Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing module and consumed by the Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing client as follows:
The Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing client calls the service operation.
Life Sciences synchronously returns the operation result in the form described in the operation response.
Operations and data exchanged vary over time due to newly implemented functionalities. When the web service interface between the Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing™ module and the Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing client is modified, a new service version is created.
To keep using the Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing application version already in use upon a new Life Sciences release, the service version to be used can be selected in the DispensingService version field in the Inventory and warehouse management parameters form (Inventory management > Setup > Inventory and warehouse management parameters > Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing Tab).
