Users can unpick quantities after picking work is closed, but before the shipment is confirmed and shipped. The process lets users scan the license plate, enter the quantity to unpick, assign the quantity to a license plate, print a license plate label, and put the material away to a location. To achieve this, mobile device menu items must be set up in the **Mobile device menu items** form as follows: - **Mode**: **Work** - **Use existing work**: **No** - **Work creation process**: - **Reduce picked quantity for sales** for sales order shipment, or - **Reduce picked quantity for transfer** for transfer order shipment - **Generate license plate**: - **Yes**, to generate a new license plate number based on number sequence, or - **No**, to manually scan/ enter the license plate number - **Print LP Label**: set to **Yes** to [print a license plate label](/life-sciences/docs/license-plate-label-printing) - **Blank put location**: - **No** (default), to populate the put-away location from the **Location directives**, as described below, or - **Yes**, to leave the put-away location blank and prompt the operator to scan/enter the destination location during the unpick process The printer, label layout, and number of copies are configured in the **Document routing** form (**Warehouse management > Setup > Document routing > Document routing**). Enable **Print for LP** for the relevant Work order type: **Sales orders** when the **Work creation process** is **Reduce picked quantity for sales**, or **Transfer** issue when it is **Reduce picked quantity for transfer**. The put-away location depends on the **Blank put location** parameter set on the mobile device menu item: - When **Blank put location** is **No**, the put-away location is defined in the **Location directives** form (**Warehouse management > Setup > Location directives**) for the **Inventory movement** work order type. - When **Blank put location** is **Yes**, the put-away location is left blank and the operator is prompted to scan/enter the desired put location. This allows different put-away locations to be used for the movement and movement-by-template processes, which otherwise share the same **Inventory movement** work order type. > [!NOTE] > Note > > The current unpick function supports batch-managed items or items without tracking dimensions only when the license plate contains a single item and a single batch number. ## Related - [Split work by LP quantity during shipment picking via mobile device](/split-work-by-lp-quantity-during-shipment-picking-via-mobile-device.md) - [License plate label printing](/license-plate-label-printing.md) - [Shipment picking via mobile device](/shipment-picking-via-mobile-device.md) - [Life Sciences Warehouse Management](/life-sciences-warehouse-management.md)
