Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance allows configuring a test group approval workflow, which must be completed before approving and activating the test group. Workflow requirements are activated in Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance > Setup > Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance parameters > Quality management tab:
If the Test group approval parameter is enabled, the completion of the workflow is required to proceed with test group approval.
If the Test group approval parameter is disabled, the test group can be approved without executing the workflow.
The test group approval workflow template can be configured in Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance > Setup > Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance workflows and supports:
Conditions (for example, different steps can be applied depending on the item type).
Review activities, such as peer review (multiple review steps can be configured).
Approval tasks.
STAEDEAN Life Sciences workflow templates leverages D365 F&SCM workflow engines and standards. Please refer to the D365 F&SCM training material for information regarding the configuration of a workflow instance.
If the approval workflow is in place, test groups can be submitted for approval using the Submit button (Workflow > Submit) in the Test group form. The workflow engine will then update the status to Submitted and propose the next task.
The workflow history can be viewed by clicking Actions > View history.
When the workflow is completed, the state is set to Completed. From this moment on, authorized users can approve the test group using the Approve button.
