# Project management and accounting

Life Sciences Supply Chain Management extends D365 F&SCM standard functionalities, such as the [BOM explosion](/life-sciences/docs/multi-level-bom-explosion) and the [item tracing](/life-sciences/docs/item-tracing-for-batches-linked-to-projects), to reduce users’ efforts and favour using the Project management module in GxP scenarios.
