# Production yield variance

For pharmaceutical companies, yield variance, which is the production variance due to difference in planned and real output quantity of the manufactured product, is important for detailed production controlling. The Life Sciences Advanced Finance Management module gives the opportunity to calculate the yield variance that occurred in the production order and to post the calculated yield variance to dedicated general ledger main accounts.
