# No blocking

It is possible to specify if the sample quantity should not be reserved against a quality order by enabling the **No blocking** parameter in the **Item sampling** form (**Life Sciences Quality Control & Assurance > Setup > Quality control > Item sampling**).

If the **No blocking** parameter is enabled, manual and automatic quality orders using the item sampling will not reserve any quantity. That is, no inventory transaction which **Reference** is **Inventory blocking** and which **Issue** is **Reserved physical** are automatically performed by the system.
