# Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing

Among other features, the Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing module provides pharmaceutical manufacturers with the following:

- Adherence to the [dispensing processes](/life-sciences/docs/dispensing-process).
- Full control of batches/sub-batches to be picked for dispensing.
- Strict compliance with formulas, avoiding the consumption of components that are not required and/or the use of wrong quantities.
- Accuracy of data collected from different systems, such as scales and/or barcode readers, through a controlled interface.
- Real-time updates of on-hand quantity: automatic quantity adjustment and production picking list journals.
- Printing of labels after weighing operations for a clear identification of the material.
- Controls of [dispensing equipment](/life-sciences/docs/dispensing-equipment), such as scales and gauges, to guarantee the accuracy of the data.
- Controls of [dispensing rooms’](/life-sciences/docs/dispensing-rooms-management) status to avoid cross-contamination.
