# Implemented controls

### Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing general controls

| Control on formula version and production formula | The system checks that the components to be dispensed have the following setups: - Batch and sub-batch managed. - Tolerance value is greater than zero for **Weighing**, **Counting by weighing** and **Weighing by difference** dispensing types, if the **Enable lower/upper limit** parameter is disabled. - Lower limit value is lower than quantity, if the **Enable lower/upper limit** parameter is enabled. - Upper limit value is filled in and not lower than quantity, if the **Enable lower/upper limit** parameter is enabled. - Estimated lower limit value is lower than estimated quantity, if the **Enable lower/upper limit** parameter is enabled. - Estimated upper limit value is filled in and not lower than estimated quantity, if the **Enable lower/upper limit** parameter is enabled. - **Reference part weight**, **Unit**, **APW determination**, **Minimum reference parts**, and **APW deviation** for **Counting by weighing** dispensing type. | Inventory management Production control |
| Sub batch status | The system checks the properties of the identified sub-batch as follows: - The sub-batch exists in the system. - The sub-batch belongs to the item. - The sub-batch belongs to the reserved batch, in case the reservation for the item is at the batch level. - The sub-batch matches with the reserved sub-batch, in case the reservation for the item is at the sub-batch level. - The sub-batch is not marked as empty. - The use code of the sub-batch is suitable for the **Intended use code** of the dispensing order line, based on the **Approved use code check method** at the item level. - The sub-batch is not **Stopped**. - The batch disposition code that the sub-batch belongs to is not blocked for production picking. - The inventory dimensions of the sub-batch match with the inventory dimensions of the dispensing order line (applicable only in case of a manual dispensing order). - The inventory on-hand of the sub-batch is greater than zero. - The sub-batch is not expired. | Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing module |

| On-hand quantity adjustment | The system checks the on-hand quantity of a sub-batch completely used and automatically adjusts the quantity when necessary. | Inventory management |
| Request for adjustment | The system checks if the weighed quantity is more than the maximum available quantity for the batch/sub-batch (sum of reserved quantity and available on-hand) and returns a warning message if the quantity is partially reserved for another order. | Inventory management |
| Empty sub batch | The system checks if a sub-batch is declared empty and the quantity to adjust out is reserved against other orders. | Inventory management |
