# First consumption revenue recognition

For some customer specific pharma manufacturing projects, the revenue on high-value semi-finished products must be recognized when the material is used for the first time in a finished product batch order. Life Sciences Advanced Finance Management allows the full accrued revenue to be recognized at the earliest consumption point of the high-value semi-finished product.
