Export data structure

Prev Next

Life Sciences Cloud Compliance Suite introduces a new functionality in Life Sciences Cloud Compliance Suite > Solution architecture > Export data structure.

A human-friendly dictionary of the object in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management can simplify activities of IT managers and users in many processes (for example, data migration). The Life Sciences Cloud Compliance Suite allows downloading a dictionary in XML format that relates each Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management entity or table field to a human-friendly label, depending on users’ needs.

The Life Sciences Cloud Compliance Suite allows defining the language of the dictionary labels (through the Language field) and the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management object to export among:

  • Tables: list of the tables available in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management instance, with their code, description, and type.

  • Tables fields: list of all the fields available in every table in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management. Per each field, different information is collected, such as the code, description, and type.

  • Entities: list of all the entities available in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management with their information.

  • Entity fields: list of all the fields available in each entity and their relationship to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management tables.

Example:

If users want to download the list of available Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management tables, they must:

  1. Go to Life Sciences Cloud Compliance Suite > Solution architecture > Export data dictionary.

  2. In the Export field, select Tables.

  3. In the Language dropdown menu, select the language of interest.

  4. In the Target data format, select XML.

  5. Click OK.
