# Dispensing requests

The Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing module allows for the management of the following:

- [Dispensing requests linked to production picking lists](/life-sciences/docs/dispensing-requests-linked-to-a-production-picking-list) to guarantee that the right quantity of components is consumed in production.
- [Dispensing requests are linked to dispensing orders](/life-sciences/docs/dispensing-requests-linked-to-dispensing-orders) to guarantee that the right quantity of components is consumed in production, the right quantity of an item is sold/transferred into the right container to a customer/another site, or to allow for the creation of samples to be used in labs.
