Dispensing campaigns

Prev Next

Users can create dispensing campaigns manually by selecting one or multiple dispensing order lines for the same item number and clicking the New button in the Dispensing campaigns form (Inventory management > Dispensing orders > Dispensing campaigns). A dispensing campaign is created, and the Campaign number field of the selected line(s) is automatically populated by the system based on the number sequence defined for dispensing campaigns in the Inventory and warehouse management parameters form (Inventory management > Setup > Inventory and warehouse management parameters > Number sequences).

It is possible to create new campaigns only for lines in status Created or Released. In case the user tries to create a new campaign for lines in status In progress, Completed, or Canceled, an error message is displayed.

Users can add the selected dispensing order line/s to an existing campaign by clicking the Add to campaign button.

It is possible to add the selected lines to an existing campaign only if the dispensing order lines are for the same item number already assigned to the campaign. If at least one of the selected lines is for a different item number, an error message is returned.

It is possible to add to a campaign only the lines in status Created or Released. In case the user tries to add to a campaign line in status In progress, Completed, or Canceled, an error message is displayed. If a dispensing campaign is completed or canceled (that is, all its lines have Status Completed or Canceled), the user cannot add new lines to that campaign.

If a dispensing order line already assigned to a campaign has to be re-assigned to a different one, users can click the Add to campaign button and select a different campaign from the dropdown.

Users can remove selected dispensing order line/s from the campaign by clicking the Remove from campaign button.

It is possible to remove only the lines in status Created or Released from a campaign. In case the user tries to remove from a campaign line in status In progress, Completed, or Canceled, an error message is displayed.

Users can delete dispensing campaigns by selecting a line and clicking the Delete button. The Campaign number field is automatically emptied for all the lines that were assigned to that campaign. The code of the deleted campaign is removed from the dropdown of the Add to campaign button.

It is possible to delete only campaigns for which all the lines are in status Created or Released. In case the user tries to delete a campaign for which at least one line is in status “In progress”, Completed or Canceled, an error message is displayed.

Users can define a due date for a campaign by selecting a line and clicking the Set campaign due date button.

Once the dispensing campaign is created, users can click the Release button to release the selected campaign to the Life Sciences Weighing and Dispensing Client. The Status of the relevant dispensing order lines is updated from Created to Released.
