Destroy by date

Prev Next

Life Sciences Supply Chain Management allows defining the destroy-by date of batches/sub-batches and tracking any modification applied to that date. This allows users to easily identify expired products left in the warehouses that needs to be disposed of.

Users can define the Destroy by period in days for an item in the Released product details form (Product information management > Products > Released products > Released product details > Manage inventory FastTab). This period is used to automatically calculate the Destroy by date of batches and sub-batches for the selected item.

The Destroy by date is recorded in the Batches and Sub batches forms and it can be manually modified by using the Reset shelf life dates functionality.

The Destroy by as of date inquiries (Inventory management > Inquiries and reports > Batches > Destroy by as of date and Inventory management > Inquiries and reports > Sub batches > Destroy by as of date) can be used to identify the batches/sub-batches for which the Destroy by date is earlier than a pre-defined date, that is, batches/sub-batches that may need to be disposed before a pre-defined date.
