# Costing lot size

Pharmaceutical companies may run their (semi)finished product cost calculations in batch for several items together using specific quantities. The quantity used for cost calculation may differ from the quantity used in other places of the ERP system (standard inventory quantity, formula quantity, etc.). The Life Sciences Advanced Finance Management module gives the opportunity to specify the product quantity to be used at cost calculation to calculate precise costs for the products.
